Due to the current pressures on the health service with the break out of the Coronavirus, GP surgeries across the Borough will no longer be offering face to face appointments without discussing your problem over the phone first. For the safety of other patients and surgery staff we need to ensure that those with a possible Coronavirus infection are signposted to the correct place.

If you have a new continuous cough or a temperature of 37.8C or above, then stay at home for 7 days from when your symptoms started and all others in your household should stay at home for the 14 days. Please do not come to the surgery or attend A&E if you have a cough or temperature but if you are struggling then go online and access NHS 111 or if you do not have internet then ring 111. Thank you for your co-operation during this very difficult period.

calendarRoutine Appointments

Can be booked up to 10 days in advance.  Some of our GPs book up quicker than others and although we try to meet your needs it is not always possible to have an appointments with the GP of your choice at the time

Did Not Attend (DNA)

We have a major problem with patients failing to attend for pre-booked appointments, because of this a strict policy is now in place. If you fail to attend an appointment you will receive a letter warning that if you fail to attend three appointments action will be taken to remove you from the practice list.

Book on the Day Appointments

Book on the day appointments are for patients who  need to see the doctor that day.

Urgent Appointments

We will always try our best to fit urgent cases in.  Urgent slots are for patients who feel it is vital they see the doctor that day, and are for one patient and one illness only. Requests for urgent appointments are added to the end of GP list as extra  appointments  and patient will have to wait and not expect to jump the queue. Patients with a potentially serious condition e.g.  chest pain, bleeding , severe injury need to dial 999.

Each Urgent consultation is recorded as such and anyone found abusing the urgent system will be removed from the practice
