Due to the current pressures on the health service with the break out of the Coronavirus, GP surgeries across the Borough will no longer be offering face to face appointments without discussing your problem over the phone first. For the safety of other patients and surgery staff we need to ensure that those with a possible Coronavirus infection are sign posted to the correct place.

If you have a new continuous cough or a temperature of 37.8C or above, then stay at home for 7 days from when your symptoms started and all others in your household should stay at home for the 14 days. Please do not come to the surgery or attend A&E if you have a cough or temperature but if you are struggling then go online and access NHS 111 or if you do not have internet then ring 111. Thank you for your co-operation during this very difficult period.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse will phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are bedbound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
