Support for Military Veterans and Ex-Forces Personnel

Healey Surgery is committed to providing dedicated support to all our patients who are Military Veterans or who identify as ex-forces personnel.

Our Practice Manager, a Veteran and former medic with the Royal Air Force who served in Iraq and Kosovo, brings first-hand understanding of the unique challenges Veterans may encounter. We also maintain close links with a range of community services designed to assist those who have served.

Op Courage is a specialist NHS mental health transition, intervention and liaison service for ex-Armed Forces personnel and those approaching discharge. It offers tailored support and helps recognise the early signs of mental health difficulties.

For more information about Op COURAGE, please visit www.nhs.uk/opcourage. If you wish to request a referral, you can contact the service directly by calling 0800 652 2867 or by emailing VTILS@cntw.nhs.uk.

Further details about NHS services for Veterans can be found on the NHS website at www.nhs.uk/armedforceshealth.
